Your transmission will only fit the 2.6 engine. The 2.8 has a different bellhousing, and the 3.2 has one that is different from either. There used to be adapters made to fit other engines, but my understanding is they are no longer made. I would stay away from the Isuzu 3.2 V-6.

I have the full harness for the new engine with connectors, OEM assembled and time tested wiring, which I would like to keep. If I ever want to swap back the 1.6, I would rather take the time now and build something compatible than re-doing everything later.
